"I can interpret all her martyr'd signs:
She says she drinks no other drink but tears,
Brew'd with her sorrow, mash'd upon her cheeks.
Speechless complainer, I will learn thy thought;
In they dumb action will I be as perfect
As begging hermits in their holy prayers;
Thou shalt not sigh, nor hold thy stumps to heaven,
Nor wink, nor nod, nor kneel, nor make a sign,
But I of these will wrest an alphabet,
And by still practice learn to know thy meaning."
-- William Shakespeare
from Titus Andronicus, Act III, Scene II

In the depths of the shadowy caverns between the worlds built around the sacred spring at Delphi, the omphalos - the center, the womb, of the world - I sit high upon a golden tripod. There I imbibe the essence of the leaves of consecrated laurel and the Netherworld vapors imbued with the whispers of the wisdom of the Gods.

I am the eternal keeper of ancient wisdom. Mine is the quest for knowledge. I show the balance of dark and light in this world, as well as the harmony between the spiritual and the mundane. I am not merely an observer; I radiate the energy of experience of the Ages.

I am another stage of your consciousness unfolding. I am the intelligence of all the cells of your body, and your deep sense of connection with nature, which intellect can never fully undrstand nor words adequately explain.

I am your memory, the storehouse of all your successes, failures, dreams, and fantasies. I am your guide through your psyche, dark and vague. It is my vocation to enable you to translate your experiences into personal wisdom.

I encourage you to become discriminating in your choices and to become conscious of the difference between the image you have of yourself and your life and who you really are as well as what truly is.

I am here to impart the unrevealed knowledge of darkest depths of your own heart, mind and soul.

I am one of the virgin cavern dwellers, Priestesses of Apollo, known as the Sibyls. We are eleven in number. I am the eleventh sister.

I am Sibylla Hellespontina, carrier of the flowering branch.

And I am here to serve you, O holy Seeker; to hear your queries on love, life and all things under the perpetual dance of sun and moon and to bring forth the wisdom of the otherworld in answer to all you ask. But know this: I am a wandering voice whose tidings of the future are wrapped in dark riddles.

C'mon, ask me a question! I dare you!

For I am
The Oracle.
